VET Festival 2020 cancelled

VET Festival 2020 has been cancelled after organisers decided the event could not longer go ahead on 5 and 6 June.

Organisers have released a statement informing sponsors and offering delegates with tickets a refund or a free ticket for next year’s event.

Statement

A statement read: “It is with the deepest regret that we are informing you that VET Festival 2020 (5 and 6 June 2020, Loseley Park, Surrey) has been cancelled due to the Coronavirus COVID-19 situation in the UK.

“The UK Government’s rules on non-essential social contact and social distancing for the foreseeable future means we can no longer host the event in June.”

Hugely disappointed

It continued: “We are hugely disappointed that we cannot go ahead with VET Festival this year, but the safety of delegates, sponsors, exhibitors and the nation’s pets is our utmost priority.

“We have worked tirelessly as a team to try to find a solution to deliver the festival, but unfortunately due to these uncertain times, we have had to make the difficult decision to cancel.”

VET Festival 2021

The statement also said: “We are pleased to confirm that we have secured the following dates for 2021, and we would be delighted if you can join us

“VET Festival 2021 (Loseley Park, Surrey): 4 and 5 June 2021.”

Delegates who had tickets are entitled to a refund for VET Festival 2020; alternatively, bookings can be transferred to the 2021 event. Organisers will be in touch soon with next steps.

Love and support

The statement concluded: “We are working closely with our insurance company and will be in touch as soon as possible. Please do bear with us, as insurers are incredibly busy at this current time.

“We are sending our love and support to you at this time.”
