The owners of one of the UK’s largest veterinary business consultancies have announced that it has now become an employee-owned trust.
The directors of Vet Dynamics have announced that the company has become an employee-owned trust (EOT), so the majority of the company shares are held on behalf of the employees in their name.
Founder Alan Robinson said: “The company has come a long way since I sold my mixed practice in rural Wiltshire in 1997, and began my consultancy career as a sole trader on the back of The Fort Dodge Index and the Virbac Vaccine Growth Programme.
“Vet Dynamics now employs 18 people and has assisted over 1,200 veterinary practices globally in the areas of practice performance, business intelligence, leadership and culture, and team engagement. The team has created an amazing community of independent practices.”
Co-director Vicky Robinson added: ”Alan and I have taken our own advice. While neither of us are ready to take a foot off the pedal for some time yet, we feel that moving to an EOT rewards and recognises the team for all their tremendous work, and gives them security in knowing we will maintain our independence and values that are important for future success.”
Vet Dynamics’ first employee in 2005, Rachel Talmage, has watched the business grow and after the announcement she said: “It’s a lovely way to preserve and protect the integrity of what Alan and Vicky have carefully built over the past 20-plus years.
“We are very excited about this next stage of the Vet Dynamics journey, and the possibilities it holds for us as a team and all the members of our independent community.”
