Pre-congress SAMSoc meeting planned

Veterinary professionals with a shared passion for small animal medicine can attend an online version of a pre-BSAVA Congress event this year.

The Small Animal Medicine Society (SAMSoc) will be running its usual pre-congress event on 24 March from 8:40am.

Line-up

The line-up of topics and speakers for the day is:

  • What’s the evidence in veterinary medicine for gastroprotectants? – Julien Bazelle
  • What’s the evidence in human medicine for gastroprotectants? – to be announced
  • An update on steroid responsive meningitis arteritis and meniningonencephalitis of unknown origin – Jeremy Rose
  • Guiding clinical decision-making in Cushing’s syndrome – Imogen Schofield
  • What can’t TKIs be used for? – Aaron Harper
  • The art of euthanasia – Mary Gardner
  • Cases that have taught me the most – Mike Herrtage

Grant scheme

SAMSoc’s Chris Scudder will also announce the successful bids for funding from its research grant initiative, and entries are also invited for the poster competition now.
