Last chance to nominate for Petplan awards

Nominations for the Petplan Veterinary Awards close in four days’ time (10 January), with members of the profession and the public urged to get their picks in now.

The 2022 Petplan awards has already seen a wealth of nominations come in for practices and staff up and down the country.

Last year Petplan received more than 31,000 nominations across the five award categories:

  • Practice of the Year
  • Vet of the Year
  • Vet Nurse of the Year
  • Practice Manager of the Year
  • Practice Support Staff of the Year.

Opportunity

James Barnes, head of sales and partnerships at Petplan, said: “The Petplan Veterinary Awards provide the perfect opportunity to say thank you for the exceptional work carried out by members of the veterinary profession, whatever their field and wherever they’re based.

“The Petplan vet awards provide a great opportunity for both clients and colleagues to recognise the dedication and talent of veterinary professionals, teams and practices, right across the UK, and say a particular thank you to those who have kept up the exceptional level of care even in the midst of a global crisis.”

“Exceptional”

The judges specifically look for a variety of factors, from exceptional levels of animal care, to building and sustaining relationships with both colleagues and pet owners, as well as going above and beyond the call of duty.

Mr Barnes added: “For over two decades we’ve been recognising the brilliant work of the UK’s veterinary professionals.

“Every year the quality of entries is incredibly high, but we know that over the past 18 months the profession really went the extra mile to take care of the nation’s pets. The judges are likely to have the toughest decision on their hands to date, regarding who to shortlist and award among the many hugely deserving practitioners.”

Colleague or practice nominations can be made online.
