IVC Evidensia has announced the launch of a research fund available to all staff.

An initiative led by the group veterinary medical board, the fund will provide financial support to teams to innovate within their fields.

The fund is available to all vets and nurses in all clinical sites, including first opinion clinics, residents and referral teams across IVC Evidensia’s network of specialist-led referral centres.

‘Ambitious plans’

Alistair Cliff, who chairs the IVC Evidensia group veterinary medical board, said: “We recognise the critical importance of evidence-based veterinary medicine and the role that plays in ensuring our group continues to deliver exceptional veterinary care.

“The research fund is the first step in our ambitious plans to develop a stronger research framework within the group.”

Research collaboration

Alongside the financial support provided by the research fund, IVC Evidensia is also launching a platform to support research collaboration.

The network of research partners is an experienced team of specialists from around the group that will provide an opportunity for those less experienced in the world of study design, ethical approval and statistics to work alongside experienced clinical researchers.
