Delegates are today (10 June) able to sign up to the world’s first free virtual feline congress by the International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM).
The ISFM International Feline Congress will provide 30 hours of CPD for vets, VNs and technicians across three days from Saturday 8 August. Content will remain on demand until 11 September.
The online event is the latest in a stream of innovations from the ISFM and its parent International Cat Care (iCatCare) to deliver high-quality information on feline medicine and welfare to as wide an audience as possible.
Topics covered have been chosen to represent current areas of practical interest for veterinary professionals, and span subjects including ethics, behaviour, critical care and pain assessment.
Due to COVID-19, the ISFM’s annual European congress had to be cancelled, but rather than scrapping the lectures and events, the society opted to put together a virtual programme.
Two separate lecture streams, for vets and VNs/technicians, will be held alongside sponsor-led symposiums, live Q&As and a virtual exhibition hall.
The ISFM said it was able to offer the congress free because of support from its partners Bayer, Boehringer Ingelheim, Ceva, Hill’s, Purina, Idexx and Royal Canin.
