CPD event featured speakers from east of England IVC Evidensia practices and dental specialist Gerhard Putter.
The CPD event, held at the Huntingdon Marriott Hotel, focused on “improving clinical practice”.
Sixty small animal vets and nurses from across the east of England attended a CPD event hosted by IVC Evidensia.
The special “Improving clinical practice” CPD event was held at the Huntingdon Marriott Hotel, where delegates listened to talks given by representative from five IVC Evidensia practices.
Referral clinicians from Abington Park Vets in Northampton, Byre Veterinary Referrals in Peterborough, Mill House Veterinary Hospital in King’s Lynn and Taverham Veterinary Hospital in Norwich presented, as did specialist dental vet Gerhard Putter.
A wide range of topics were covered – from dealing with damaged crowns, dermatology tips and a hip dysplasia update, to radiographic positioning and best use of endoscopy in practice.
Chris Trickey, part of the IVC Evidensia referral team, said: “We have a number of good quality referral practices in this area.
“This is a great way for us to show local vets what they can offer – and at the same time provide some useful practical tips for clinicians and nurses in first opinion practice.
“I think it helps that all of these referral vets work in practices with a first opinion service running alongside, so they are very aware of the unique pressures in modern first opinion practice.”
