Hamilton Specialist Referrals (HSR) has announced the forthcoming schedule of “For The Best Pets” monthly CPD events.
The referral hospital – based in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire – has also announced the first of its CPD events tailored specifically for VNs.
Topical presentation
Each CPD event will comprise of a topical presentation, patient case studies, and a Q&A session. Attendees will receive two hours of certified RCVS-accredited CPD points.
Event details are:
19 June – “Interpreting the ECG + arterial blood pressure values: normal, abnormal and treatment”. Chris Seymour – European and RCVS-recognised specialist in veterinary anaesthesia and analgesia, and head of anaesthesia and analgesia – will host the first of the HSR veterinary nurse CPD events.
3 July – “Anaesthesia for the ‘sick brain’”. Dr Seymour will lead this talk, which will cover what needs to be considered when anaesthetising animals with a head injury, or other causes of increased intracranial pressure.
7 August: “Physiotherapy interventions for surgical and non-surgical cases”. Karl Jones – head of rehabilitation ACPAT, CSP, HCPC – will be covering this talk, which will help provide clarity and refresh knowledge of a varied area with some tips and techniques for the busy practitioner.
