Ceva Derma Day aims to provide delegates with insights into the latest developments in dermatology.
Ceva Animal Health is hosting a free conference online on the latest developments in the world of dermatology.
The half-day, live-streamed Ceva Derma Day is an international online conference taking place on 28 October from noon to 4pm GMT, with a CPD certificate issued to preregistered delegates after the event.
Ceva Derma Day will feature specialists including US vet Natalie Marks (pictured), whose talk is “Meeting the expectations of the new generation of pet owners. Let’s go digital?” and Sarah Health, European veterinary specialist in behavioural medicine, who will speak on “Approaching dermatology cases with behaviour in mind”.
Dr Marks’ presentation will focus on what today’s pet owners expect from interactions with their vets and point out the need for vets to understand how they process information. It will show how new communication and treatment follow-up technologies can help to meet expectations.
Dr Heath’s talk will offer hands-on tips for everyday dermatology work with a focus on considering emotional health.
Additional to the keynote speakers, live studio discussions will feature, with vets and nurses including Emma Lindbland Åström, Kerstin Bergvall and Cecilia Friberg from Sweden focusing on communication with owners and how vet teams cope with challenges.
Andrew Fullerton, product manager for Ceva, said: “Today’s pet owners are often millennials who embrace their new family member with huge enthusiasm; however, they often have very different expectations than those of previous generations because they can easily access a wealth of pet health information online.
“The Ceva Derma Day will address this by providing online delegates with extensive information on what makes millennials tick and offer proactive communication tools to strengthen vet/client relationships.”
Registration for Ceva Derma Day is open now online.
