New series of popular podcast will focus on the relationships between specialists and the first opinion practices they serve.
A podcast created to foster connection and community across the veterinary profession has returned for a third series.
Season three of Borborygmi: Noises From The Veterinary World launched on 3 May, with weekly releases and community conversations within the Vets: Stay, Go, Diversify Facebook community all planned in during the next 10 weeks.
Borborygmi is created and produced by Ebony Escalona, Naomi Mellor and Sophie-Jo Walsh – all vets who want to highlight the importance of telling the stories of the profession to create connection and a community.
This series will explore the relationships between Virtual Veterinary Specialists and the first opinion practices it serves to explore the GP-specialist bond through the lens of case support, mentorship, harnessing technology, CPD, career satisfaction and more.
Dr Escalona said: “The concept of Borborygmi was born out of a discussion regarding our mutual love of BBC Radio 4’s The Listening Project, which records conversations between friends, colleagues and relatives, with the aim of building a picture of life in the United Kingdom today.
“We subsequently decided to create a time capsule of the veterinary world in audio form, and the concept of the podcast was developed.”
